Jeremy Sylvester is a highly respected UK Garage, House, and electronic music producer whose influence on the underground scene spans over three decades. Known for his signature blend of deep house, UK garage, and soulful beats, Jeremy has crafted an impressive legacy through a wide array of productions, remixes, and DJ performances around the globe.

Jeremy’s musical journey began at birth, influenced by his father, a member of the successful 1980s disco group J.A.L.N. Band. Growing up in Birmingham, he was deeply inspired by American artists such as Chic, Chaka Khan, Diana Ross, Delegation, and Kool and the Gang. His initial foray into music production took place in his father’s Eye to Eye Studio in Handsworth. Starting with rave music laced with reggae influences, Jeremy eventually transitioned into drum and bass. In 1994, he co-founded the record label Dubtronix with his father, producing successful underground hits like “Screwface” and “Fantasy.”

An unexpected shift in his career came when Jeremy began DJing to connect more directly with audiences. He spun deep New York-style house on local pirate radio stations and in clubs worldwide, refining a style that soon caught the attention of Nice ‘n’ Ripe Records. There, he produced under various aliases including SLY, Deep Cover, Groove Connection, G.O.D, and Sylvester, becoming one of the label’s standout artists.

After relocating to London, Jeremy became deeply embedded in the city’s flourishing House and Garage scene. He founded the acclaimed production/remix outfit Club Asylum, delivering genre-defining remixes for artists such as All Saints, Jodeci, KC & JoJo, Shola Ama, and Dionne Rakeem, all while maintaining a raw, underground sound that resonated with fans and peers alike.

Jeremy signed to Azuli Records, where he released club anthems like “Coke, Sex and Drugs” under the alias Electronica, which reached number 14 on the Cool Cuts chart. He also produced “Strangled” for Multiply Records, a reimagining of the Stranglers’ classic “Peaches.”

As part of Class A, he remixed tracks for a diverse array of artists, including Eddie Grant, Gambafreaks, DJ Disciple, and 10CC. His output as Pure Orange, signed to Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records, included the single “Gained,” which topped the Cool Cuts chart and reached number two in the Buzz Charts.

Jeremy also partnered with renowned singer/songwriter Victoria Horn, forming the group Feela, and releasing music through Azuli. His continued innovation and impact on the UK dance music scene earned him the DJ Mag Awards Underground Hero Award in 2022, and in 2024, he was named Mixmag Producer of the Year, cementing his status as one of the most influential figures in modern UK electronic music.

In the same spirit of innovation, Jeremy launched the club night Garage Paradise in 2022, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of underground house and garage. Today, he heads two record labels: Urban Dubz Music, home to many of his aliases, and Garage Paradise Music, set to launch in 2024 with his forthcoming album Underground Hero, which showcases a wide spectrum of styles from 2-step to 90s-inspired garage house.

In early 2025, Jeremy completed a successful Australia and New Zealand tour, bringing his signature sound to audiences across the southern hemisphere. He also continued to expand his global reach with a stream of international DJ sets, including a standout performance in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia at the prestigious Sound Storm Festival.

Throughout his career, Jeremy has collaborated with and released on some of the world’s most respected labels, including Stealth Records, Azuli Records, Nice ‘n’ Ripe, Defected Records, Diamondhouse Records, Positiva, BMG, Universal Records, Island Records, Softone Recordings, Kitchenware Records, Cool Pool Ltd, Ministry of Sound, and Atlantic Jaxx. Most recently, he signed a new publishing deal with Songs in the Key of Knife, the publishing arm of the legendary Hospital Records.
